When you become the one that strayed from the other ninety-nine…

Most times, we’re part of the ninety-nine that stay in place and allow ourselves to be led by the Good Shepherd, Christ Jesus. Other times, life happens and unfolds all over us, and somehow, we end up becoming the one who strayed away.

Since returning from Kenya, I’ve been in an extremely strange and unfamiliar place spiritually...I’m lost. Typically, I fight to find familiar grounds when I find myself in places of uncertainty. However, I’ve felt less angst in just sitting in wherever this place is and experiencing life as it is. It‘s not easy to NOT know where I am or why I’m here, but the Holy Spirit gave me an understanding that I don’t have to rush myself to know because He knows for me and He’s got me covered.

My current lesson: When I can’t locate myself or identify where I am, God can. I’m not rushing to make my feelings, my misunderstandings, this place, or anything else make sense. He promises to find me and bring me back to where I should be. It is WHAT it is; it is WHY it is.
